Shoe Stopy

Our shop, Shoe Stopy, is at Old No. 3, New 5 Clemens Road in Purasawalkam. The address also mentions N. D. A. Road in Shivane, which can be a bit confusing for some folks, but we are right here on the corner. We have shelves full of shoes of all kinds and sizes. It smells like leather and rubber inside the shop, which I’ve actually grown to like over the years. We’ve been in the shoe business for a while now. It’s a lot of helping people find the right size and making sure the soles are sturdy enough for the street. We don't have those fancy spinning displays you see in the big malls. Just regular wooden racks and some benches where you can sit and try things on. Purasawalkam is always crowded, so there’s a lot of dust that we have to wipe off the boxes every morning before we open. I work here with my brother, and sometimes our kids help out on the weekends when they aren't in school. We see a lot of the same faces coming back when their old pairs finally wear out. We don’t do big sales or loud promotions on the street. We just sell shoes that last for a long time. The back room is stacked high with boxes, and sometimes it feels like they might fall over if you sneeze. It’s a small space, but we make it work for us and the customers.
