Thiruvanmiyur is a nice part of Chennai, and we like being situated here near the coast. We work on developing properties, which basically means we spend our time looking at land and figuring out how to put buildings on it. It’s a lot of back-and-forth with builders and architects. Our office isn't very large, but it’s where all the planning happens. We don't go in for big sales pitches or anything like that. We just look at the space available and see what can be done with it. Sometimes the paperwork takes longer than the actual building, which can be frustrating, but we deal with it. Living and working in South Avenue means we see the neighborhood changing all the time. We try to fit in with the local vibe. There’s a few of us in the office, and we usually have maps spread out over the tables. It’s not a polished corporate environment. It’s more of a place where we drink a lot of tea and try to solve problems. We’ve been around for a bit and know the streets of Thiruvanmiyur pretty well.
