We are Chennai Metco Pvt.Ltd., and you can find us at Sp100A in the Ambattur Industrial Estate. This area is pretty much the heart of manufacturing in Chennai, so we are surrounded by all kinds of factories. We work on equipment that people use to look at metals and materials. It’s more technical than some of the other shops nearby. We have an office and a production area where we put things together. It isn't a huge place, but it's enough for what we need to do. Some of us have been here for years, so we know the routines by heart. We don't spend a lot of time on fancy decorations or anything like that. The focus is usually on the work benches and making sure the assemblies are right. It gets busy during the middle of the week when orders need to go out. The traffic in Ambattur is always a bit of a mess, so we try to plan our shipping around the worst times. We are just a group of people trying to make reliable equipment for other labs and factories to use. We don't make big claims about being the best; we just try to be consistent with what we produce. It’s quiet in the office part but noisy in the back, which is a balance we are used to by now. Every day is mostly about checking specs and talking to the technicians.
