Chabra Steels

Chabra Steels is situated at 81, Sembudoss Street in Parrys. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it’s a maze of narrow streets and constant noise. We’ve been at this address for a long time, and the shop is packed full of steel from floor to ceiling. It’s a bit cramped in here, and there’s always the smell of metal in the air. We don't have a big corporate office or a marketing department. It’s just us and the steel. Most of our customers are people who have been buying from us for years. They know the way to the shop even though there isn't a huge sign outside. The work is physically hard, and we spend most of our time moving heavy beams or cutting things to size. It gets quite loud when the saws are running, so we usually have to shout to be heard over the noise. We keep all our records in big paper books because the computer we have is old and slow. The guys working here are like family, and we’ve all grown used to the dust and the heat of the street. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We are just a local steel shop in a busy market area. We open early and stay until the work is done for the day, then we close up and head home.
