Bapalal & Company Jewellers

We are situated at No. 37 Cathedral Road. This is a well-known street in Chennai and Bapalal & Company Jewellers has been here for a very long time. The building has a lot of character and we try to keep it looking decent for everyone. We see a lot of families who have been coming to us for generations. It is nice to see the children grow up and then come back for their own wedding jewelry later on. The shop has a quiet atmosphere compared to the busy road outside. We have heavy wooden counters and chairs where people can sit and take their time looking. Gold is a serious thing here, so we don't rush anyone through the process. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and making sure everything is polished and clean. The light inside the shop is soft to make the gold shine. Sometimes the traffic on Cathedral Road gets so loud you can hear it through the walls, but mostly it is peaceful inside. We don't use any loud music or flashy lights to get attention from people. Our name is enough for people to find us. We take pride in just being consistent over the years. The staff knows many people by name and we usually offer a glass of water to anyone who walks in. It’s just the way we have always done things. We plan to stay in this same spot for many more years to come.
