Chennai Diamonds

We are located at A-13 2nd Avenue, right by the Roundtana Junction. If you know where V-Care Hospital is, we are practically next door. It’s a busy intersection in this part of Chennai. Our shop isn't like those massive jewelry malls you see in the city center. It’s a bit more personal. We spend a lot of our time sitting with people at the glass counters, showing them different stones and settings. Diamonds are tricky, and people have a lot of questions, so we just try to answer them as best we can. The lighting inside is very bright so you can see the sparkle, but the back room where we do the paperwork is quite dim and cramped. We’ve been here for a while, and we see a lot of the same faces coming back when they have a wedding or a special occasion. It gets really crowded during the festival seasons, and sometimes there isn't enough space for everyone to sit down. We just do our best to manage. The staff here are mostly local people who have been in the jewelry trade for a long time. We don't have a big corporate hierarchy. It’s just us, the inventory, and the customers who walk through the door. We stay open late most nights because that’s when people have time to shop. Sometimes we even stay after the shutters are half-down if a customer is still making a choice.
