If you're looking for us, we’re right on Mint Street at number 313. It’s a busy part of Park Town, always a lot of people moving around. Most days here are spent at the workbench. We deal with gold jewelry, mostly fixing things or making small items when someone asks. It's not a big fancy showroom or anything like that. Just a workshop where the tools are usually messy and the floor has a bit of dust from the day’s work. I’ve been doing this for years now. My hands are usually stained from the polish or the heat, but that’s just how it goes in this trade. People from the neighborhood stop by, sometimes just to ask a quick question about a ring or a chain they have. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy outside. You just find the door and walk in. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons when the sun hits the street, but we keep the fans going. It’s a simple life here. We focus on the metal and the torch. Sometimes the work takes longer than I thought it would, especially if a piece is old and needs a lot of care. But we just get through it one day at a time. Mint Street is a good place to be, even if it gets noisy with the traffic outside. We’re usually here from morning until the shops start closing up for the night.
