Our office is over in Mugalivakkam, specifically Phase III on Ashram Avenue. If you know the area, it's pretty quiet compared to the main roads. We deal with infrastructure and greenscape stuff, which basically means we spend a lot of time thinking about dirt and building materials. The office at 1/836 is where we keep all the plans and receipts. There's usually a bunch of muddy boots by the door because we’re often coming back from sites. We have some plants sitting around the porch that we try to keep alive in the Chennai heat. It’s a bit of a squeeze when everyone is in at once. We spend our mornings checking schedules and making sure the crews have what they need for the day's work. Sometimes the internet is slow, so we end up doing things the old-fashioned way on paper. It’s not a corporate skyscraper or anything; it’s just a regular building where we get things done. We’ve got a small tea stall nearby where we go when we need a break from the computers. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we started here. We see a lot of new construction going up around Ashram Avenue. Most of the time we are just busy coordinating trucks or looking at site photos. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure the greenery doesn't wilt before it gets planted. We just try to get through the list of tasks every day and make sure the trucks are on time.
