You can find our steel yard at No. 10/A on Manambedu Road in Coramandal Town. We spend our days dealing with industrial steel of all shapes and sizes. It is a lot of outdoor work, so we are always at the mercy of the weather. When it is hot, the metal gets untouchable, and when it rains, everything gets a bit slippery. We have been here for a long time and the yard has seen better days, but it serves its purpose. We keep a variety of beams and rods stacked up, and though it might look like a mess to someone else, we know exactly where everything is located. We are not a big company with a board of directors. It is just me, my cousin, and a couple of helpers. We load the trucks by hand or with a small crane when the pieces are too heavy. We do not have a fancy office, just a small cabin where we handle the bills and drink our coffee. Most of our customers are local builders who have been buying from us for years. We do not do any advertising because word of mouth has always been enough to keep us going. It is just a regular life in the steel trade, and we do our best to get the right pieces to the right people without a fuss.
