Bharat Steel Corporation is located at No.7, though some people know it as New No.13, on Venkata Maistry Street. It’s a narrow street and things can get tight when a delivery truck comes through. We deal with steel, so the place is full of heavy metal beams and pipes. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the stock we keep. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving the steel around over the years. We’ve been in this location for a long time now. Most of us have been working here since we were much younger. It’s physically demanding work and you definitely get your hands dirty. We don’t have a polished showroom. If someone wants to see what we have, they just walk into the warehouse area. We spend our time cutting, loading, and keeping track of the inventory. It’s a lot of manual labor. We don’t really do any promotional stuff. People mostly find us by word of mouth or because they’ve been buying from us for decades. The street noise is constant, but you get used to it after a while. We just keep our heads down and handle the steel orders as they come in. It’s a basic business run by people who know the trade. We don't need fancy things to get the job done. We just focus on the steel and the customers who come to the door.
