You can find us at No.7 on Venkata Maistry Street, though some people call it New No.13 now. The change in numbering still causes some confusion with the mail and the new delivery drivers who haven't been around here long. Our building is a bit tucked away, and it’s always filled with the smell of metal and a bit of grease. That’s just the nature of working with steel every day. We don't have a lobby or a receptionist to greet you. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us near the back where the stock is kept. The office part is just a small corner with a couple of chairs and a computer that’s a bit slow. We spend our mornings checking what came in and what needs to go out to the customers. It’s heavy work, and it’s often quite hot inside the warehouse during the summer months. We’ve been on Venkata Maistry Street for a long time, so we know all the other shop owners on the block. We help each other out when someone needs a tool or a bit of advice. We aren't interested in fancy business talk or looking important. We just focus on the steel and making sure the counts are right. It’s a plain, straightforward life here. We like the routine and the fact that we’ve stayed in the same spot through all the changes in the city.
