We are based at Number 10 on Mooker Nalla Muthu Street, right next to Thambu Chetty Street in the Parrys area. It’s a very crowded part of the city, and the streets are always full of people and carts and scooters. We distribute metal, so there is always a lot of heavy lifting and moving stuff around the warehouse. Our space is packed with rods, sheets, and pipes of all kinds. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes to get everything organized when a new delivery comes in. We have a small desk near the front where we handle the orders and the cash. It gets very loud outside with all the traffic and people shouting, so we often have to shout to be heard on the phone. We don’t have a fancy website or a big sales team to find customers. Most of our customers just walk in or call us on the phone because they’ve been coming here for many years. The air is always a bit metallic smelling and the floor is scratched up from the heavy loads of steel and iron. We just focus on getting the right metal to the right people. It's hard work and it's dirty, but it's what we know best. We close up when the sun goes down and start all over again the next morning.
