Barkath Arts

Barkath Arts is located at 46/82 Ellis Road, right off Mount Road. This part of the city is always crowded and noisy, but we like the energy. We've been in this spot for quite a while now. Our work involves a lot of hands-on effort and manual tasks. It's not a corporate setup at all. The shop is full of materials and bits of projects we are currently working on. We do a lot of different things depending on what people ask for when they walk in. Some days are slow and others we can barely keep up with the pile of work on the table. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to answer phones all day. Most people find us because they were walking by or someone they know told them about our shop. The building is old and has a lot of character, though the walls could use some paint. We try to keep it organized, but when you're working with various materials, things get a bit chaotic by noon. We usually have tea in the afternoon and talk about what needs to get done before we head home. It’s a small team here and we know the regulars by name. Mount Road is just around the corner, so it's convenient for getting supplies when we run out. We aren't looking to move to a giant warehouse. We like being right here in the middle of everything.
