Balu Associates

Up on the second floor of No : 10/5 on Mahalakshmi Street, that’s where you’ll find Balu Associates. Tambaram East is always buzzing with people and shops, so it’s never quiet around here. We’ve got a small space that works for us. Getting up the stairs every day keeps us moving, I guess. We spend most of our time at our desks dealing with the daily tasks that come our way. It’s not a flashy office with modern art or anything like that. We have old shelves filled with documents and a few chairs for visitors. The light comes in okay through the windows in the afternoon. Most of the people working here have lived in this area for a long time, so we know the streets well. Sometimes we go downstairs to get snacks from the local vendors during our break. It’s a straightforward way of working. We don't spend a lot of time on fancy meetings or big presentations. We just handle the business at hand. Mahalakshmi Street is a good spot because it’s easy to find once you know where to look. It feels like a regular neighborhood business because that’s exactly what it is. We like the routine of it. Each day is pretty much the same, which is fine by us. We stay until the work is finished and then lock up for the night.
