Eastern Shoe Company

Eastern Shoe Company is located at No. 26/2 Vp Colony Kh Road in Ayanavaram. It’s a local neighborhood, and we’ve been here for a while. You can usually smell the leather and the glue when you walk in. We make shoes. It’s not a high-tech factory. Most of the work is done by hand or with older machines that still work just fine. We have a small team here. People around Ayanavaram probably know where we are because we’ve sat on this road for ages. There’s a lot of cutting and stitching going on every morning. We start early before the sun gets too hot. The floor is usually covered in bits of leather and rubber. We don’t spend much time on paperwork or computer stuff. Most of our day is spent at the benches. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time finding the exact spot in Vp Colony, but they usually get here eventually. We make all sorts of footwear, nothing too flashy, just sturdy stuff that people can wear. The chairs in the back are where we take our breaks. It’s a bit of an old-school way of doing things, but it works for us. We just keep our heads down and finish the pairs we need to get done by the end of the day. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you come by, you'll see us actually working on the shoes. We just like to get on with it and get the boxes ready for whenever the transporter arrives.
