Ayyaar Bawan

If you’ve ever been down Mth Road in Avadi, you probably passed by us at No. 18. Ayyaar Bawan has been sitting here on this busy stretch for quite some time. The road is always packed with traffic, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading to work. We’ve got a fairly simple setup. It’s not one of those modern places with bright lights and fancy furniture. We keep things pretty traditional. The kitchen is usually the loudest part of the building, with pots clanking and people shouting orders. We spend most of our time making sure the food is ready and the tables are clean. It’s hard work, and the heat in Avadi doesn't make it any easier during the summer months. We have regulars who come in every single day and sit at the same spots. They don’t even need to look at a menu anymore. We know their names and how they like their coffee. It’s a local place through and through. We don't put much effort into advertising because word of mouth usually does the job for us. Sometimes the roof leaks a bit when it rains really hard, but we just put a bucket under it and keep going. That’s just how it is here. Mth Road is our home, and we wouldn’t really want to be anywhere else. It’s a bit chaotic with the buses and bikes flying by, but it’s our kind of chaos.
