Asv Electrical Consultants Private Limited is based at number 5, Bamban Baba Nagar in Thoraipakkam. We are right beside the Akdr Golf Village, which is a bit of a landmark around here. It’s a bit funny because the golf village is all green and quiet, while our side of the fence is more about electrical plans and technical consulting. The office is a practical space where we spend most of our time hunched over large drawings or looking at computer monitors. Thoraipakkam has grown a lot, so there’s always construction noise or the sound of the main road nearby. We’ve got a few desks pushed together and some old filing cabinets that are starting to creak. The fans overhead hum all day to keep the Chennai heat at bay. It’s a small team, so we all know each other well and there’s usually some conversation going on about a project or what’s for lunch. We don't have a receptionist; usually, whoever is closest to the door just opens it when someone knocks. The location is good because it’s easy to get to, but the traffic on the OMR can be a real pain in the evenings. We try to finish up before the worst of it starts. It’s just a regular office where we do our best to stay on top of the technical work we have. There isn't anything flashy about it, just a group of people working together in a small corner of Thoraipakkam.
