Asst Engineer

I’m based at No. 484 on Koottai Street in Mathur, Krishnagiri. I work as an Asst Engineer, and this is where most of my day-to-day work happens. Mathur is a quiet enough place, and Koottai Street has a very local feel to it. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a regular building with a heavy door and some old windows. Inside, it’s mostly just me and the maps. I spend hours looking at the layouts of the area and making sure our notes are accurate. It’s a lot of technical work that requires a lot of focus, so the quietness of the street helps. Sometimes the local kids play outside, and you can hear them through the walls. We have a small cupboard for our tools and instruments, and a big desk that is usually covered in drawings and pens. Krishnagiri is known for its landscape, and sometimes my work takes me out into the field, but I always come back here to finish the reports. It’s a very straightforward life. No fancy titles or big meetings, just the practical side of engineering. I’ve been here for a while now, and the neighbors all know what I do. It’s a small town, so word gets around fast. If there’s a problem with a local project, people know where to find the Asst Engineer on Koottai Street. We just keep our heads down and do the job that needs doing.
