A.S.P Metals is located at Plot No-2/7 on Manicka Vasar Street. We’re in Vivekananda Nagar, over in the Kodungaiyur area. It’s a bit of a residential spot mixed with some small businesses. We deal with metal, so our place is full of various pieces of iron, steel, and whatever else comes through the door. It’s heavy work and our hands are always dirty from handling the stock. The yard at Plot No-2/7 isn't fancy. We have things piled up where they fit, and we know exactly where everything is even if it looks like a mess to someone else. Manicka Vasar Street is usually quiet except for when the trucks come in to load or unload. We’ve been in Kodungaiyur for a good while and have seen the neighborhood change around us. People know us as the metal guys. We don’t have a website or anything like that, we just talk to people face to face. Sometimes it rains and we have to cover everything up quickly, which is a bit of a hassle. But usually, the sun is out and we’re just cutting or moving pieces of metal around. It’s hard work on the back, but we like being our own bosses. If you come by, you’ll probably find us near the gate. We don't really use the office much except for the phone and some old ledgers.
