If you head down to Athipet Village in Chennai, you'll find us at No. 203 on Nageswara Rao Road. Arthan-Agritech Private Limited is our little setup in the 2nd Extension area. We focus on the tech side of farming, which sounds a lot more complicated than it actually is when you’re doing it every day. Mostly, it’s just about finding better ways to help plants grow or helping farmers use less water. We have a small office where we keep our tools and some computers. It’s often a bit messy with blueprints or parts lying around, but we know where everything is. The heat in Chennai can be a real bother in the afternoons, so we try to get the heavy work done before noon. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just trying to provide some useful stuff for the local agricultural community. We’ve got a few people working here who really know their stuff about soil and sensors. Sometimes we’re out in the fields more than we’re in the office. It’s a good mix. We don’t bother with fancy suits or big meetings. Usually, we just sit around the table with a tea and figure out the next step for a project. People around Athipet know us by now. We’re just regular folks trying to make technology work for the farm instead of against it. We’ve had to fix the front door twice because it sticks in the humidity, but we’re used to it now. It's steady work for the most part.
