Aneela Engineering Corporation

Aneela Engineering Corporation is tucked away in Aminjikarai on 3rd Street in VOC Colony. Finding the place is sometimes a trick because of the address change, we are at New No. 10 but the old board still says Old No. 19. It’s a typical engineering spot with a lot of metal and the smell of machine oil in the air. We spend most of our time working on various parts and pieces that people bring in. It’s not the quietest street, especially with the traffic nearby, but we’ve gotten used to the noise over the years. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about where we stack things so we don't trip over them. Most of the guys here have been doing this for a long time and they know the machines inside and out. We don’t really do much in the way of advertising, mostly just folks from around the colony or other businesses coming by because they know we are here. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on, chatting with the neighbors. It’s a simple life running a corporation like this, just taking orders and finishing them as they come. We try to be fair and just do what needs doing without making a big fuss about it. It’s just how we operate every single day here, making sure we get through the pile of work.
