Our office is located at number 10 Barnaby Road, right here in Kilpauk. It is an older part of Chennai with a lot of character, and we like the vibe of the neighborhood. The building has been here for a long time, and so have we. Inside, it is mostly what you would expect from a firm of chartered accountants. There are bookshelves lined with old tax codes and plenty of folders piled up on every available surface. We do not really go in for modern decor; we prefer the practical setup we have had for years. It is a place where work gets done without a lot of fuss. Most of our morning is spent answering emails or going over audits for various clients. Barnaby Road is usually pretty active, so there is always some noise from the street, but we do not mind it. It keeps us feeling connected to the city. We have a small staff, and we have worked together for so long that we do not need to say much to get the day started. We just come in, have some tea, and get to work on the ledgers. It is not a flashy lifestyle, but it is steady and we know our way around the local regulations. We see a lot of familiar faces coming through the door, which is nice. It makes the long hours during tax season feel a bit shorter.
