Ak Fabrication

Ak Fabrication is located on Dimeswamy Dargah Street. We are pretty close to the S2 Theater in Chennai. It is a tight street sometimes, especially when trucks are trying to move around. We have a small space where we keep the welding machines and all the metal sheets. It is usually dark inside except for the sparks when someone is welding a joint. We do a lot of iron work for the houses and shops around here. You will see us out there with the measuring tapes and the chalk marking where the cuts need to be. It is honest work and it gets our hands dirty with grease and rust. The theater nearby brings a lot of people to this area so there is always something going on outside. We have a couple of guys who have been doing this for years. We do not spend money on big signs or anything. We just have the name on the front and we do the work as it comes in. Sometimes it is a small repair and sometimes it is a whole lot of window frames. The metal can be heavy to move around when it arrives on the cart. We just get it offloaded and start sorting through the pieces. It is not a quiet job but it is what we know how to do here in Chennai. We stay open until the sun goes down and we finish up whatever is on the bench for that day.
