Act India

Down here at 69/93 K.K. Road in Ambattur, things stay pretty busy. We are Act India, and our place is right in the Venkatapuram neighborhood of Chennai. It’s an industrial sort of area, so there is always the sound of machinery or trucks nearby. Our office isn't much to look at, just a plain front on a busy street. We handle a lot of administrative work and coordination from here. The humidity in Chennai is no joke, so we have a few old fans that creak all day. We’ve been in this spot for years, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time. Most of our day is spent talking to people and filling out forms. It’s straightforward work. We don’t have a big sign out front, just the address and the name. People in the area know us as the place where things get processed. We don't really have a big corporate structure. If something needs doing, whoever is closest to the desk does it. Sometimes the rain floods the street a bit, and we have to put sandbags by the door. It’s just part of being in this part of town. We keep things moving as best we can, day in and day out, without making a big deal out of it. It’s just a job and we’re happy to have it.
