The place we work out of is in Neelankarai on Singaravelar Salai, right at the first cross. Abrameya Infrastructure Private Limited is pretty close to the coast, so we get that salty air all day. Working in Chennai means dealing with the heat and the humidity, especially when we are out checking on construction sites. We keep a fairly simple office here. There are always maps and site plans laying around on the desks. We spend a good amount of time coordinating with different crews and making sure they have the equipment they need. It’s not always easy keeping everyone on the same page but we do our best. We have some old chairs for visitors and a coffee machine that works most of the time. People around here know us as the local infrastructure guys. We don't go in for big presentations or anything polished. We just tell it like it is and get the work started. Sometimes we have to deal with delays because of the monsoon or because a delivery got stuck in traffic, but we just work through it. Building things is what we know how to do. We focus on the foundations and the structures that people actually use every day. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening most days. We usually close up shop when it gets dark and start again early the next day. It’s a long haul but the work is steady.
