Our office is situated at 27 East Coast Road in Kirumambakam. It’s right on the main stretch, so we see a lot of traffic passing by on its way to and from Pondicherry. Being an agro and dairy business, we are often up quite early. The coastal air is nice, but it can be quite humid, which isn’t great for the paperwork or the equipment. We don’t have a big, shiny office. It’s more of a functional space where we handle the accounts and talk to the people who manage our dairy side. There’s usually a bit of a mess with milk crates or feed bags sometimes being stored temporarily near the back. We are a small team, and everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, whether it’s answering the phone or helping load a truck. Uzhavusei is a name that means "do farming," and we try to stick to that practical spirit. We don’t use any marketing buzzwords or have big posters on the walls. It’s just a place of work. Some days the cows are a handful, and other days it’s the supply chain that gives us trouble. We just take it as it comes. The people who work here live in the surrounding villages, so it’s a very local operation. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and have seen the road get busier every year. It’s a decent place to work if you don’t mind a bit of hard labor.
