Our office is tucked away in the Siva Vel Apartment, specifically at C2/F1. It’s on No. 2 Alagappa Nagar in the Zamin Pallavaram area of Chennai. If you know this part of the city, you know it’s a residential pocket but still close enough to the main roads. We manage the side of things for Sayaji Hotels Management Limited from here. It’s not your typical high-rise office building. It’s more like a regular workspace inside an apartment block, so it feels quite grounded and local. The 600117 neighborhood is where we spend most of our waking hours. Usually, the morning commute is the toughest part of the day because the Chennai traffic never really lets up. We’ve got a small desk setup and just focus on the administrative work that needs doing. There isn't any fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. We handle our own tea and mostly just keep our heads down working. It’s a practical choice being in Alagappa Nagar. We like that we can just step out and find a local shop for whatever we need. It’s a bit lived-in, and the walls might need a fresh coat of paint soon, but it works for us. We’ve been here for a bit now and have gotten used to the rhythms of the building. It’s just how we run the management side of things, no bells or whistles. Just daily work. Nothing fancy about it.
