Hotel Mamallaa Heritage

East Raja Street is one of those places that is always full of life, especially with all the tourists walking around to see the old carvings and temples. We are right at number 104. Hotel Mamallaa Heritage has been standing here through many seasons. It’s an old building, and you can feel that when you walk inside. The hallways are a bit narrow and the stairs have been walked on by thousands of feet. We try to keep the place tidy, but it has that lived-in feel. It isn’t one of those glass-and-steel buildings. We have a lot of local staff from the town who have been with us for a long time. They know the area well and can tell you where to get a good tea or which path to take to the beach. Sometimes the street outside gets very noisy with the temple festivals or just the general buzz of the market, but that’s part of staying in the heart of town. We have a small pool in the back, though it’s not huge, it’s okay for a quick dip when the sun is too much. We don't do much in the way of fancy brochures. People find us because we’ve been here for ages and the location is hard to beat if you want to be near the main sights. It’s just an honest place to stay.
