Hotel Goutham Manor

Hotel Goutham Manor is located at No.1 Lalbhagudhar Street in Chennai. We’re in a spot that gets quite a bit of foot traffic, especially with the local shops nearby. Our hotel isn't one of those giant skyscrapers you see in the movies. It’s a more modest place where we focus on the basics of hosting people. Most of our days are spent at the front desk or checking on the rooms to make sure the fans and lights are working right. The Chennai heat is no joke, so we spend a lot of time making sure the water is cold and the guests are comfortable. Lalbhagudhar Street has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a part of it over the years. We see regulars who come back every time they are in town for work. It’s a simple operation really. There is no big corporate office telling us what to do; it’s just us making decisions on the fly to keep things moving. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or a guest loses their key, and we just deal with it as it comes. We aren't trying to be the most famous place in the city, just a reliable one where you can get some rest. We keep the registers by hand sometimes and the computer other times. It’s a bit of a mix of the old way and the new way here, and that seems to work just fine for us.
