Grt Temple Bay, Beach Resort

Up on Kovalam Road, you will find the Grt Temple Bay. Being a beach resort, we deal with a lot of sand getting everywhere. The wind comes off the water and hits the buildings all day long. It is a big property, so we spend a lot of time walking from one end to the other to get things done. People come here to get away from the city noise, though on weekends it can get quite lively with kids running around the pool area. We have gardens that need a lot of watering because the salt air is tough on the plants. The rooms look out toward the sea, which is why most people come here. Our staff wears uniforms that are a bit more casual because of the heat. Sometimes the internet is a bit spotty because of the location, but most people don't seem to mind much when they are sitting outside. We have several places to eat on the grounds. It is a lot of work to keep everything looking okay with the humidity. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just running a resort by the shore. You can hear the waves at night if it’s quiet enough. It’s a lot of walking for the staff, but we are used to it by now. We just try to keep the pool clean and the towels ready for everyone.
