Varinder Bachan Music Institute

We are located in Sector 20, specifically at building number 77. It is a fairly quiet area for the most part, though that changes once the music starts in the afternoons. This institute is really just a collection of rooms where we keep our instruments and spend our time practicing or teaching. You might hear a harmonium or some singing if you walk by in the evening. We didn’t set this up to be a big corporate school; it’s more of a place where we can share what we know about music and rhythm. The walls have some old posters and the floors are a bit worn from all the foot traffic over the years. We have students of all ages coming in, some who are really talented and others who just want to learn a few notes for fun. It’s a small operation, mostly run by a couple of us who have been around music our whole lives. Sector 20 is a good spot for us because it’s central enough for people to reach easily. Sometimes we sit around after the lessons are done and just play for ourselves. It isn't always organized perfectly, and sometimes the schedules get a bit mixed up, but the music stays consistent. We don’t put on airs here. If you come in, you’ll see us in our regular clothes, probably tuning an instrument or talking about a specific song. It’s just what we do every day.
