Rajan Watch Company

You can find Rajan Watch Company at 33 on the 2nd Cross, right on Taverekere Main Road in Sector 19. We’re situated directly opposite the church. On Sundays, I hear the bells ringing and the people gathering across the street. It’s a nice sound to work to. I’ve been fixing watches in this same spot for years. The shop isn't much to look at, just a counter and some shelves full of boxes. I spend most of my time under the lamp. People bring me their watches when the hands stop moving or the glass gets a scratch. I also do a lot of wall clocks. Those are bigger and easier on the eyes, but they take up more space on the floor. I like the atmosphere of this neighborhood. It’s a mix of people going to work and others just hanging out. My neighbor next door runs a grocery, so we share stories during the slow hours. I don't use any high-tech equipment. Just the same screwdrivers and oils I’ve used for decades. If a watch is broken, I take it apart and see why. It’s like a puzzle every time. I’m not in a hurry. Good work takes time. If you need a battery or a new band, just stop by the 2nd Cross. I’m usually sitting there with my loupe on, looking at something tiny. The church is a good landmark if you get lost.
