We’ve been sitting here at 1038 Main Road in Sector 22 for a long time now. It’s a busy spot and the traffic never really stops outside the door. Most days are spent looking through a tiny magnifying glass at parts that are almost too small to see. People come in with all sorts of things, from old wall clocks that haven’t ticked in years to wristwatches that just need a new battery or a strap that isn't falling apart. The shop is a bit cramped because we have boxes of spare parts everywhere. It isn't a fancy place with bright lights and glass displays, just a simple counter where we do the work. My father used to sit in the same chair, and I guess things haven't changed much since then. The tools are the same ones we've used forever. Sometimes someone walks in just to ask for the time or directions, and that’s fine too. Sector 22 is a loud place, especially on the weekends when everyone is out shopping. We just keep our heads down and focus on the gears. It gets hot in the summer when the fan just moves the warm air around, but we get the job done. If you're walking along the main road, you'll see our sign. It's a bit weathered now, but it still marks the spot where we spend our days fixing what's broken and keeping things moving. We don't have much for sale, mostly we just repair what people bring in.
