Punsons Flora

We are based in Sector 19, Panchkula, but our mail usually goes through Chandigarh G.P.O. No 435. Punsons Flora is a bit of a messy place because you can't really work with plants and flowers without getting dirt everywhere. The floor is almost always a little bit wet because we spend the first hour of every morning watering everything in the shop. My hands are usually stained green or have little scratches from the thorns on the roses. It is definitely not a clean desk job, but we enjoy being around all the greenery. Sector 19 is a decent area and we get a lot of nice sunlight through the big front window which helps the plants stay alive. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and we have to rush to get all the bouquets ready before the sun gets too hot. We don't have a glossy catalog or anything, you just come in and see what is blooming that day. Some days the smell of the flowers is so strong it fills up the whole street outside. We use old plastic buckets and a lot of colorful ribbons that always seem to get tangled up in a drawer. It’s a lot of manual work to keep everything from wilting when the weather gets dry. We just have a few fans going and we spend our time talking to the regulars who stop by for a single stem or a whole bunch.
