Painters Den Artworks

You can find us in Manimajra at number 143. This is Painters Den Artworks. It’s more of a workspace than a gallery. We have paint stains on the floor and brushes soaking in jars all over the place. It’s a bit messy, but that’s how we work best. The light comes in through the windows in the morning, which is the best time to get started on a new piece. We aren't tucked away in some high-end mall. We are right here in the thick of the local neighborhood. It gets a bit noisy with the street sounds, but we usually have some music playing to drown it out. People often peek through the door to see what we are working on. We don't mind. It’s an art den, not a corporate office. There are canvases leaned up against every wall. Some are finished and some have been waiting for months for the right touch. We handle everything from small sketches to bigger projects. It’s a hands-on life. Our clothes usually have a bit of dried paint on them by the end of the shift. We don't have a fancy reception area. If you come in, you might have to step over a few things to get to the desk. It’s just a place for people who like to create things with their hands. It’s honest work and we enjoy the grit of it. There is always the smell of turpentine and linseed oil in the air.
