Theatre For Theatre

Over at Sector 19 Shakti Nagar 3111, we have a space that we call Theatre For Theatre. It is not like one of those big fancy movie houses you see in the mall; it is a place where real people come to practice their acting and put on live plays. The building we use is quite old, and you can definitely hear the wooden floorboards creak when you walk across the main stage. We have stacks of old wooden chairs and boxes of colorful costumes piled up in all the corners of the room. I spend a lot of my time just moving these props around to make enough room for the daily rehearsals. The neighborhood in Shakti Nagar is mostly residential, so we have to be very careful not to make too much noise late at night when we are working. Sometimes the old light bulbs burn out, and I have to climb up a really tall ladder to fix them before a show starts. We don't have a lot of money to spend on fancy sets, so we just use whatever materials we have and try to make it look good with some paint and a bit of imagination. People who live around the 3111 area often stop by to see what we are currently working on. It takes a lot of effort to put a whole show together. It is hard work but very satisfying for everyone.
