Prota Corner

Prota Corner is located in Booth Number 61-62 in Sector 27 of Chandigarh. If you know the area well, Sector 27d is a pretty familiar spot for the locals. Being in a booth means we do not have a lot of space, but we make it work for us. Every morning starts with opening up the metal shutters and getting the kitchen area ready. Chandigarh is a planned city, so everything feels very orderly around here, but inside the booth, it is always a bit of a rush. We handle everything ourselves, from taking the orders to cleaning up the small tables we have outside. It is a bit of a tight squeeze when the lunch hour hits and people from the nearby offices or houses come over. We see a lot of the same students and workers every single day. Sometimes we run out of things or the delivery is a bit late, and we just have to deal with it. It is not a fancy restaurant with waiters in suits. It is just us in our aprons, trying to get the food out hot to everyone who is waiting. The weather in Chandigarh can get really hot in the summer, so standing near the stove is tough, but we are used to it by now. We like being in Sector 27 because it feels like a real neighborhood. There is no corporate vibe here at all. It is just a small corner shop.
