We’ve been here at Sco 9 in Nanpura Timliyawad for quite some time now. Sector 20 is where everything happens for us. My father started this small watch shop and I just kept it going because I like working with my hands. It’s not a big place, just a simple counter and some shelves filled with old and new watches. People come in when their batteries die or if a strap breaks. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded because the shop is narrow, but we manage. We spend most of our day looking through those tiny magnifying glasses. It’s quiet work, mostly. You hear a lot of ticking sounds if you stand still for a minute. Most of our customers are locals who live around here. They know us by name and we know which watch belongs to who. We don't really do fancy ads or anything. We just open up in the morning, fix what needs fixing, and close up when it gets dark. Sometimes a repair takes longer than I thought because parts for those old mechanical watches are getting hard to find. I try to keep a stock of spares in the back drawers. It’s a bit messy back there, honestly. But if you have a watch that stopped working, you can just bring it by Sco 9. We'll see if we can get it moving again. It’s just how we do things here and we like it that way.
