New Ranjan Watch Company

New Ranjan Watch Company is located at 35 Sector 17. I’ve lived in this area for a long time, and I’ve seen many shops come and go, but I’ve stayed put. My shop is small and simple. I have a big window that lets in the afternoon sun, which helps me see the tiny parts I work with. Most of the people who come in are locals who need a new battery or a strap that doesn't itch. I try to get things done while they wait, but if it’s a big job, I tell them to come back in a few days. I’ve got drawers full of old gears and springs. Sometimes I can’t find exactly what I need, so I have to improvise. It’s part of the trade. I don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know where I am. I’ve fixed watches that have been underwater and watches that have been dropped on concrete. Some can be saved, some can’t. I’m honest with people about it. I enjoy the rhythm of the day. The morning starts with a sweep and a coffee, and then it’s just me and the watches. Sector 17 is a good place to be. There’s always someone walking by. If you’re in the area and your watch stops, just look for number 35. I’ll be there at my bench, probably squinting at a movement through my glass.
