New Era Technologies

We’re over in Industrial Area Phase II at plot 158. New Era Technologies isn’t as futuristic as the name might sound to some. We’re mostly just a bunch of guys who understand how machines and basic computer parts work. We deal with various technical components and sometimes help people set up their small office networks or repair older hardware. The workshop in the back is usually a mess of cables and screwdrivers. It’s a practical place. We moved to this location because it’s central for the businesses around here who need quick help. There’s always a hum of some machine or another running in the background. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most of our work is done on benches with bright lights overhead. Sometimes a customer brings in something that’s completely fried, and we have to tell them it's better to just start over. We’re honest about that. It’s not worth fixing everything if it costs more than a new one. The street outside is busy with workshops and factories, so there’s always something happening. We drink a lot of coffee while looking at circuit boards or trying to figure out why a particular piece of software isn't behaving. It’s slow work sometimes, requiring a lot of patience. We just stay focused on the task at hand. It’s been our routine for years now. We keep our tools ready and just wait for the next job to come through the door.
