Namdhari Marble House

If you come down to Mohali 2nd Main Road, you’ll see our shop with all the slabs lined up outside. Working with marble is heavy, dusty work, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. We have all kinds of stone here, and we spend most of our time showing people the different patterns and helping them figure out how many pieces they need. It’s not a quiet place because of the cutting and the trucks dropping off new stock. The yard at Mohali 2nd Main Road is usually full of activity, with people coming in to check prices or just to see what we have in stock this week. We’ve been doing this for a while and we know which stones are hard to work with and which ones are easy. It’s just a family-run kind of place, so you’ll often find us sitting on the crates having lunch or talking to the regular contractors. We don’t go in for big sales pitches; we just let the stone speak for itself. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to move the slabs around because they get slippery, so we have to be careful. The shop isn't fancy, just a practical space where we can store the inventory and talk to the customers who stop by. It’s a lot of physical labor, but it keeps us busy.
