Jai Mata Marble

We are over here at Jai Mata Marble on C G Road in Zirakpur. If you’ve driven down this road, you’ve probably seen the stacks of stone and tiles out front. It’s a dusty business, no matter how much we try to sweep up. I spend most of my day showing people different slabs of marble and explaining how they differ. It’s heavy work, and my back usually feels it by the end of the day. We have all sorts of people coming in, from homeowners to contractors. I’ve been working with stone for a long time, so I know which pieces are good and which ones have flaws. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a big open space with a lot of heavy inventory. We use old machinery to cut things down to size when needed. Sometimes the water from the saws makes a bit of a mess on the floor. It’s just the way it is here. I like the smell of the wet stone, honestly. We don't do much advertising; most people just see us from the road or hear about us from a neighbor. Dealing with marble requires a bit of patience because every piece is different. I try to be honest about what we have in stock. It’s a simple local business and we’ve been on C G Road for years now. People know us for being straightforward and that is good enough.
