Highpoint

Highpoint is located in Sector 17, right behind the Sri Jalakanteshwara Swamy Temple at spots 70-71. Being near the temple means we hear the bells and the morning prayers, which is a nice way to start the day. The area gets really crowded on festival days and weekends, so we have to be ready for a lot of people walking by. Our shop occupies 70-71, so we have a bit more room than some of the tiny stalls nearby, but it still feels small when the lunch rush hits. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the sector change quite a bit, but the temple stays the same. We spend a lot of our time just organizing the space and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of sweeping and dishwashing that people don’t see. We don’t use any fancy language to describe ourselves; we’re just a local business trying to do things the right way. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk, and other days we don’t even have time to breathe. It’s just the two of us mostly, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of Sector 17. If you’re visiting the temple, we’re just right there behind it, doing our daily work. It’s a good spot to be in, all things considered.
