Our place is at House No 3080/1 in Sector 41, Chandigarh. It’s a residential area, so it’s very different from a typical business district. Chandigarh is known for being organized, and our sector is quite peaceful. We work out of what used to be a regular house. It makes the whole work day feel a lot more comfortable. We don't have a big corporate lobby or a sign that lights up. It’s just the number on the gate. Essar is just us here, a few people sitting at desks in what was probably once a living room. We like the trees and the wide roads in this part of town. It makes the commute easy. We mostly deal with files and phone calls all day. There is no dress code; we just wear what is comfortable. Sometimes we sit out in the small yard when it’s not too hot to take a break. We don't have a marketing team or anyone trying to sell anything. We just provide the local presence that’s needed here. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try to keep the noise down. It’s an honest, quiet way to work. We’ve been here for a while and the routine suits us. We don't need anything more than a working phone and a decent internet connection to get our jobs done. It’s a good, simple life in Sector 41.
