S. B. Metal

We’ve been at No. 394 in the Phase-2 Industrial Area for a good while now. It’s a busy spot in Latiff Park, mostly full of trucks and noise. Our day starts early, usually before the sun gets too hot, because moving metal around is heavy work. We handle different types of sheets and rods, mostly just getting things ready for whatever the local shops need. Some days the yard is packed and other days it’s just us cleaning up the scraps. It’s not a fancy place. The walls could use some paint and there’s always a bit of grease on the floor, but that’s just how it is when you’re working with steel and iron all day. We spend a lot of time on the phone checking prices or talking to drivers who are lost trying to find our gate. Most people around here know us by now. We try to keep things simple. If someone needs a specific cut or a batch of material, we just get to it. There isn't much to say besides that we show up, do the lifting, and close up when the sun goes down. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough. You can usually find one of us sitting near the front desk with a cup of tea when there’s a break in the loading.
