Steel House

Steel House is located at number 1048 in Sector 19B. As you can probably guess from the name, we deal with all sorts of steel materials. Our shop is more of a warehouse than a retail store. It’s filled with metal beams, rods, and sheets stacked up against the walls. There is usually a bit of noise from the cutting machines or when we are moving the heavy stock around with the loaders. Sector 19B is a busy area with many other industrial shops, so we fit right in with our neighbors. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. Most of the people who come to us are contractors or builders who know exactly what they are looking for. We spend a lot of our time measuring pieces and making sure the cuts are as close to the request as possible. It is dirty work and you definitely need a pair of tough boots and gloves to get through the day. We’ve been running this place for several years and have a regular rhythm to how things get done. We don't do much in terms of promotion; the business just comes from being reliable and having the stock ready when someone needs it. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and we enjoy the physical nature of the work. Every day is a bit different depending on what kind of projects our customers are working on at the time.
