Modern Steels Ltd. is situated right on G.T. Road. It’s a busy spot because that road is a main artery for everything moving through the region. You can hear the trucks rumbling by at all hours of the day and night. Our facility is a bit older now, but it’s sturdy. We’ve been handling steel here for a long time. It’s a tough environment, lots of heat and heavy lifting. The yard is usually full of raw materials and finished pieces waiting to be loaded onto trailers. We don’t have a lot of office staff; most of the team is out on the floor doing the hard work. It’s a gritty place, not the kind of place you’d wear a suit to. We’ve seen the G.T. Road change over the decades, with more traffic and new shops popping up everywhere, but our gate stays the same. Working with steel is hard work and doesn't leave much room for being fancy or worried about appearances. We just try to get the orders out on time. The air always has that metallic smell to it. It’s what we’re used to after all these years. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit of a mess, but we deal with it and keep moving. We aren't into big speeches or flashy marketing. We just exist here on the side of the highway, doing what we know how to do best.
