Dashmesh Marble

You can find us on the Manimajra Chd Ambala Road, specifically in the Singpura Shaheeda area. Being out on the main road means we see a lot of traffic passing by all day long. Our yard is filled with big slabs of marble and stone, stacked up and leaning against each other. It’s a heavy business. We spend most of our time out in the open, showing people the different patterns and colors of the stone we have in stock. It gets very cold in the winter and incredibly hot in the summer since we are mostly outdoors. The dust from the stone is everywhere, so our clothes are usually a bit grey by the end of the day. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights and air conditioning. It’s just the yard and a small office where we handle the bills. People stop their cars when they see something they like, and we go out to meet them. It is a very physical job, moving those slabs around using the crane or just by hand when needed. We try to be helpful, but we don't use a lot of sales talk. The stone usually speaks for itself. We’ve been here for a while now, and we’ve seen plenty of houses in the area get built using what we have here. It’s hard work, but there is something satisfying about seeing a nice piece of marble go to a new home for a family.
