Backpackers Cafe

Backpackers Cafe is tucked away in Sector 9 on Agiary Lane. We are specifically at 152 Modi Street, Scf 16. It is not the easiest place to find if you are not looking for it. The cafe is small and we have filled it with old chairs and tables that don't really match. We get a lot of younger people and travelers who are just passing through. It isn't a silent place; there is always someone talking or the sound of the kettle boiling. I do most of the cooking and cleaning myself, with some help on the weekends. The walls have some maps and drawings pinned up by people who have visited. We don't have a big glossy menu, just a chalkboard where I write what we have for the day. Sometimes we run out of milk or bread and I have to run out to the shop nearby. The street outside is narrow and can get quite congested with bikes. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that creak a bit when they are on high. It’s a simple spot to sit down for a while. We aren't trying to be a five-star restaurant. It's just a place to get out of the sun and have something simple. We keep the doors open and see who comes in. I have an old radio that plays sometimes but mostly it’s just the sound of people talking. We don't have any fancy decorations, just things we found over the years.
