Cafe Coffee Dat

Our little spot is called Cafe Coffee Dat, and you can find us at House No.2766 on the second floor in Sec-37C, Chandigarh. It is a bit unusual for a cafe to be on the second floor of a house in a residential sector, but that is just how we started out. You have to walk up the stairs on the side of the building to get to us. Chandigarh is a very organized city, so finding Sector 37C is easy, but finding the specific house number takes a little more looking. Once you get up here, it’s quite peaceful. We have a few small tables and some chairs that we picked up from a local market. The kitchen area is small, so we can only make a few things at a time. We don't have a big menu with fancy names, just the basic stuff that people like to drink. The view from the balcony is just the trees and the street below, which is nice in the evenings when the sun goes down. We don't do much marketing, mostly just people in the neighborhood who know we are here. It feels more like visiting a friend’s place than going to a commercial cafe. We do our own cleaning and buy our supplies from the local mandi. It is a simple life running a small place like this in a quiet corner of the city. We just take it one day at a time.
